Back when Mike Was Musical

Music By Mike

Back in the day (late 70's, early 80's), Mike played in a variety of Ann Arbor bands. He was the bassist in the Martian Entropy Band, and formed The Gene Pool Band sometime in the early 80's. Here he played guitar, sang, and wrote all the music. Here is his 45rpm single, on Rotating Records, c. 1980:

Clones All Think Alike
All Messed up (and Nowhere to Go)

Some Gene Pool Band tunes from a live concert in the Michigan Union Ballroom, a benefit for WCBN FM, recorded 2/14/82 by Tom Bray:

Born in Ann Arbor
Let's Go Study Some Biology
Lip Sink
Telecaster Boogie
Spliff Time in Ann Arbor
Tush Kick
Too Many Dishes In The Air
Dead Punk In The Middle Of The Road
Clones All Think Alike (Live)
All Messed Up (live)

And a few random tunes from long ago:
Captured Alive By The Blues (Recorded at the old Ark on Hill St.)
