Alien Black Box

This is a kinetic laser sculpture destined for an art gallery or sold to a collector. Mike Gould, Laser Artist. Completed 4/10/2024.

Dimensions are: 12.5” x 12.5” x 10”. Power is via a 12VDC wall wart. This can be hung on a wall (heavy - 8lbs) or placed on a pedestal.

Fractal designs are by the artist and are printed on holographic vinyl.

This is #2 of the They Crash Among Us series of laser art pieces: UFOs subjected to artistic tendencies. This won an ILDA Award in 2024.

This is another piece of the crashed alien saucer that provided the Molecular Disrupter. The aliens use a form of lumia to communicate through subspace, and this shows the SOS black box that is phoning home for help. Aliens may show up at any moment to recover this.

There are four lasers inside: red, green, blue, and yellow. They shine on a piece of plastic painted white on the inside, acting as a rear-projection screen. The outer decorations are fractal patterns, evidently a form of alien graffiti. There may be alien text concealed by steganography in the imagery; investigations are ongoing.
